About

This website aims to bring together global ice charts and related ice information products. The British Antarctic Survey (BAS), is the maintainer of this Ice Logistics Portal (ILP), supported by the International Ice Charting Working Group (IICWG).

Important co-funding was provided by the European Space Agency (ESA). The Ice Logistics Portal was originally created as a joint initiative of the IICWG, the JCOMM Expert Team on Sea Ice and Polar View for the International Polar Year (2008).

This current version is a successor to the original page (https://www.bsis-ice.de/IcePortal/) maintained by the German Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie (BSH).
